50 YEARS LATER THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT- A Retrospective Featuring Paulette Brown and Ruth Ellen Fitch

2014 marks the 50th anniversary of the landmark Civil Rights Act of 1964. The intent of the Civil Rights Act was to end segregation in schools and public places and to prohibit discrimination in various forums on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. It is considered one of the crowning legislative achievements of the civil rights movement….but how far have we come in 50 years?
