I am deeply honored to serve as President of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, alongside our dedicated board and committee members. Since 1973, the MBLA has served as an architect of change. It has paved the path forward by laying the foundation for a more inclusive legal profession, creating opportunities for growth and success, and providing spaces where diverse voices are heard, supported and celebrated.
As we enter into our 53rd year, we are focusing on our theme of “Bridging Legacy and Vision,” as we honor our past and embrace the future. Throughout the year we will continue to:
B: Build strong relationships and networks
R: Reconnect and reflect on our past
I: Invest in our future generations
D: Deepen our impact
G: Grow our community
E: Engage our members
The challenges ahead require us to work together to build relationships that strengthen our collective capacity. Whether you are a longtime supporter or newly engaged, I invite you to join us in connecting voices, bridging gaps in opportunity, and expanding our reach.
Together, we are more than an organization. We are a bridge to impactful and lasting change.
In service and gratitude,
Jameel Moore
MBLA President
