Biography

Madison Long is a second year law student at Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, interested in practicing education law, with a focus on municipal and child welfare disputes.

Ms. Long previously served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John A. Houston of the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. In that role, she observed first-hand how the legal system plays a large role in life outcomes. That experience ignited her desire to study law and policy, particularly education policy. Ms. Long also interned as Nelson Mullins as an operations intern assisting their litigation team on various matters.

Ms. Long is a 2023 graduate of  North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. In addition, Ms. Long completed the esteemed Duke PreLaw Fellowship Program in 2022.
Currently, Ms. Long serves as First Year Law Student Representative for Suffolk University Law School’s Black Law Student Association (BLSA). She was recently honored as “Outstanding 1L” by Suffolk’s BLSA. 

Ms. Long is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina.
