Responsibilities include preparation and negotiation of legal contracts with State Street’s mutual fund and other financial services customers; supporting other State Street attorneys, coordinating legal documentation between multiple parties ensuring adherence to time critical deadlines; tracking status of legal documentation and maintaining records, matrices and files; performing review and analysis of complex documentation and contracts according to established procedures and guidelines; gathering information using multiple resources to aid attorneys and business units with inquiries; and interacting with our internal and external clients. Position includes working with risk and compliance departments, supporting RFP responses, reviewing contracts, and special projects.
Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor.
Relevant legal experience. Law firm, mutual fund or other in-house legal department experience preferred. Transactional, corporate, contracts and/or mutual fund experience highly desirable. Experience with derivatives, ISDA, or control agreements a definite plus.
