Massachusetts Advocates for Children (MAC) is a private non-profit child advocacy organization dedicated to being an independent and effective voice for children who face significant barriers to equal educational and life opportunities.

MAC is seeking a full-time or part-time (four days/week) senior-level attorney to: 1) manage its law office functions, including supervising staff attorneys, advocates and volunteers for cases and Helpline technical assistance, as well as overseeing pro bono recruitment; and 2) direct the Children’s Law Support Project of the statewide civil legal aid system through coalition building, training and technical assistance, legislative and administrative advocacy, and coordination of a children’s agenda.

Successful applicants will be self-starters with a law degree and minimum of five years litigation experience, particularly in special education; supervisory experience; systemic advocacy experience; coalition-building and group facilitation; and a passion for educational advocacy on behalf of vulnerable children.
