Community Legal Aid (CLA), the non-profit legal services program providing free civil legal assistance to eligible low-income and elderly clients in central and western Massachusetts, seeks a full-time staff attorney to provide legal assistance in immigration law matters, including VAWA petitions, U visas, SIJS petitions, and asylum cases.  The staff attorney will also engage in outreach and education with immigrant communities, grassroots organizations and other key stakeholders, including conducting regular clinics with community partners. The attorney will be based in Springfield and will do some traveling throughout western Massachusetts to meet with clients and colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Admission to Mass. Bar or entitled to practice under a Mass. practice rule. Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred.  Reliable transportation required. Experience in immigration law and/or demonstrated commitment to serving immigrant communities preferred. Salary is based on a scale commensurate with experience.
