MassHousing seeks an Attorney to join its in-house legal department, which provides legal services with respect to all aspects of the agency’s single-family and multifamily mortgage lending business.   The Legal department provides transactional legal services, advises on administrative law and regulatory matters, provides corporate legal and governance services, prepares and negotiates contracts, and provides advice and legal services relating to the preparation and interpretation of the agency’s policies and procedures. The selected candidate will report to the agency’s General Counsel and will work closely with other attorneys and paralegals in the department.

Qualifications:  J.D. from accredited law school, admission to the Massachusetts bar, and superior academic credentials.  3-5 years’ experience with sophisticated real estate or commercial transactions, municipal finance and/or single family mortgage regulation/foreclosure is required, as are excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
