The Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) seeks a talented lawyer with well-developed written, oral, analytic, and advocacy skills, including the ability to thoroughly research and analyze complex legal issues involving the interpretation of state and federal law. Salary range: $61,130.16 to $88,334.22.

The Assistant Chief Counsel represents DUA in appeals regarding unemployment insurance matters and may represent DUA in other proceedings; advises DUA staff on a wide variety of legal issues; and may review and draft legislation, regulations, contracts, and interagency agreements.

Applicants must have at least (A) one year of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in the practice of law or in a position requiring membership in the Bar.
