The ACLU of Massachusetts seeks a skilled and self-motivated Legislative Policy Counsel to engage in substantive policy analysis, operational support, and some advocacy to advance the organization’s agenda on Beacon Hill.  We are looking for an individual with a law degree who is eager to conduct in-depth legal and policy research and analysis to inform and support ACLUM’s broad legislative agenda, with an emphasis on criminal law reform.  Among other responsibilities, the Legislative Policy Counsel will develop policy memoranda; write fact sheets, testimony, and other advocacy materials to educate policymakers and the general public; help to develop new legislation and policy models to promote and defend civil liberties; and helpprepare for legislative hearings and manage other efforts to build support for ACLUM’s legislative and policy agenda.
