Kanasha S. Herbert is Vice President and Senior Counsel at State Street Corporation. She was previously an associate at Mintz Levin and at Foley Hoag. Before becoming a lawyer, Kanasha was a hardware engineer with HP.
Kanasha is a member of the board of advisors of YouthConnect. Kanasha previously served as a director and corporate secretary of MassVentures. She was appointed to this position by Governor Deval Patrick. She is a former Fellow of The Partnership, Inc. and a former Women’s Leadership Initiative Fellow of the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts.
Ms. Herbert is a graduate of Boston College Law School where she served as an editor of the Uniform Commercial Digest (Journal) and was a founding member of the Business Law Society. She also previously served as co-secretary of the Black Alumni Network of Boston College Law School. Kanasha received her Master of Science in Engineering Management and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (with a minor in Mathematics) from Northeastern University where she was a Ralph J. Bunche academic scholar.
