TREVOR ROZIER-BYRD is a Vice President and Counsel in the Global Markets Division of State Street Bank and Trust Company.
Prior to joining State Street, Mr. Rozier-Byrd’s was a Senior Associate at WilmerHale where his practice focused on domestic and international corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings and public and private capital markets transactions. Mr. Rozier-Byrd also represented companies and entrepreneurs in connection with a broad range of start-up company matters.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Rozier-Byrd was an associate at Sidley Austin LLP in New York where he represented various financial institutions in connection with a broad range of public and private capital markets transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on securities offerings, Rule 144A/Regulation S private placements and private placements of hedge fund and private equity fund interests. Mr. Rozier-Byrd also represented fund sponsors in connection with the formation of domestic and offshore private equity and hedge funds.
During law school, Mr. Rozier-Byrd worked for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission – Division of Enforcement. While at the SEC, Mr. Rozier-Byrd participated in investigations of possible violations of the federal securities laws, including insider trading, fraudulent stock offerings, misappropriation of client funds, market manipulation and financial fraud.
Mr. Rozier-Byrd received his Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2010, and his Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in 2005.
Mr. Rozier-Byrd is a member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, a member of the Boston University School of Law Alumni Executive Committee and a founding member of the Edward Brooke Charter Schools Board of Ambassadors.
