Jermaine Kidd is a Dorchester native. He graduated from Boston Latin School in 1999. As a junior at Boston Latin School, Mr. Kidd was selected as a Judge David S. Nelson fellow, interning for the Hon. Judge Reginald Lindsay at the U.S. Dist. Court for the Dist. of Massachusetts. This experience inspired him to become a lawyer. Mr. Kidd is a graduate of Morehouse College and Boston College Law School, and is currently an associate at Morgan, Brown & Joy, LLP where he represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment law matters. Mr. Kidd’s began his career as a litigation associate at Edwards, Angell, Palmer, & Dodge, LLP (now Locke Lord Edwards LLP), and thereafter served as Labor Counsel for the Massachusetts State Police where he handled discipline and discrimination cases, as well as other labor and employment matters. Before joining Morgan, Brown & Joy, LLP, Mr. Kidd was an associate for the Boston office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. Mr. Kidd served as an At-Large Director for the MBLA for the 2014-2015 year, and co-chaired the Programs and Professional Development Committee. In that capacity, Mr. Kidd helped plan and execute the MBLA Rainmakers’ Roundtable Series. Mr. Kidd has other leadership and non-profit experience having served as president of the Greater Boston Morehouse College Alumni Association for two years. Mr. Kidd also currently serves as Deputy Director of Region I for the National Bar Association; on the Board of Directors of the Cooperative for Human Services; and the Board of Directors of FCD Educational Services- a division of the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation.
