| The Office of the General Counsel of Partners HealthCare is seeking to hire an attorney with a minimum of eight years experience to handle labor relations and employment matters. Partners is a not-for-profit health care delivery, research and teaching organization which includes Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. The Office, comprised of 26 attorneys, is a collaborative full service law department providing legal services to Partners HealthCare and its affiliates. | |
| Essential Duties and Responsibilities: | |
| The attorney would be primarily responsible for labor relations matters, including negotiating collective bargaining agreements, advising clients through the grievance/arbitration process, and representing clients in unfair labor practice proceedings. The position also will entail responsibility in the area of employment law, including adversarial matters. | |
| Minimum Qualifications and Skills: | |
| Minimum of eight years experience handling labor relations and employment matters. Strong writing skills, interpersonal skills, and academic credentials are essential. Prior experience with health care unions is desirable. Relevant experience in a law firm or in-house legal department representing large organizations is preferred. |
