Position Description:
Seyfarth Shaw LLP seeks an attorney with 7+ years of experience in advising state and corporate pension funds with respect to their investments. The ideal candidate will have experience representing lead or major institutional investors in their domestic and international investments involving comingled funds, co-investments, joint ventures, custom funds, separate accounts and direct principal transactions. Fund counsel with experience negotiating against investors with respect to these investments also will be considered. Familiarity with current market terms, as well as experience negotiating side letters, fund documents, and investment management agreements required. M&A experience is a plus. The position will work with our Institutional Investor Practice Group, including our Multi-disciplinary Institutional Investor Team. We offer a collegial environment and an excellent opportunity to continue to develop strong skills and grow with a national firm. Top law firm experience preferred. Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills required. The preference is for the position to be in our Washington, D.C. office, but we will consider other offices, including Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, and New York. The Candidate must be admitted to DC bar, or in the state in which the position is seated.
