Spotlight on the Boston-Area Legal Profession’s Response to the Race Inequity Challenge, Thursday, June 14th

The BBA will be hosting a roundtable discussion about the recent Boston Globe Spotlight seven-part series, “Boston. Racism. Image. Reality.” Featuring the Boston Globe’s Social Justice/Race reporter, Meghan Irons, the panel will discuss the ways in which the Spotlight series both exposed and highlighted the scope of the systemic challenges facing the Boston-area legal community when it comes to issues of diversity and inclusion. The panel will also focus on the current work being done in legal circles to address these challenges, and will showcase the efforts of Boston-based organizations that offer race-oriented dialogues and workshops to help organizations better understand how racism manifests in our personal lives, workplaces, and communities. When: Thursday, June 14, 2018 5-7 pm. Where: BBA 16 Beacon Street Boston
