Danielle Pelot is a partner and the Deputy Practice Group Leader of the Government Investigations & White Collar Defense practice group of Nixon Peabody LLP. She represents companies and individuals in critical investigative and compliance matters involving federal and state government enforcement authorities. Her background includes high-profile government investigations in a range of industries, from construction and public affairs to health care and financial services. Danielle has specific experience counseling pharmaceutical and medical device companies and their employees through investigations alleging criminal and civil fraud, false claims, and kickbacks. She assists clients with conducting corporate internal investigations, responding to grand jury subpoenas, coordinating company duties under a Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) and Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA), completing reporting and training requirements, and developing proactive compliance measures to prevent violations of federal and state law. Danielle’s practice also draws upon her broader experience in civil complex litigation related to products liability, pricing, antitrust, financial transactions, intellectual property, and qui tam actions. Danielle currently serves as a member of the firm’s Recruiting Committee. She participates in the diversity initiatives of the Boston Lawyers Group and enjoys tutoring and mentoring students in elementary school, college, and law school.
