Dear Reproductive Rights and Justice Community,

We are excited to announce that the Lawyering Project has officially launched!  The Lawyering Project is an innovative legal advocacy organization aimed at improving access to reproductive healthcare in the U.S. through litigation that advances an intersectional framework.  We seek to fill in gaps in the legal advocacy landscape, increase the collective bandwidth of our movement’s legal arm, and challenge the status quo of abortion restrictions across the country.  Our top priority is to undertake a systematic review of abortion laws in the U.S. and challenge those that fail to satisfy the standard announced in Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt.

We are headquartered in New York City, have a satellite office in Los Angeles, and are eager to recruit staff members in other places.  We’re attaching three job postings: Litigation Counsel, Project Assistant, and Project Manager.  Please share these with anyone who might be interested.  Our website is coming soon.

Sincerely,

Amanda Allen, Senior Counsel & Managing Director, aallen@lawyeringproject.org

David Brown, Senior Counsel & Deputy Director, dbrown@lawyeringproject.org
