Suffolk University Law School in Boston invites applications for a position as a full-time Legal Practice Skills (LPS) Visiting Professor for the upcoming academic school year (2018-2019). The visitor will teach the first-year LPS course and collaborate with other faculty teaching in the first-year program. The successful applicant will teach two sections of LPS I (3 credits each) in the fall as well as two sections of LPS II (2 credits) in the spring. One of those sections may be in the evening division. In addition to teaching, the visitor will maintain regular office hours, grade several student assignments throughout the semester, and hold individual conferences. Interested candidates must have a J.D. and be admitted to a bar. Previous teaching of legal writing is preferred. A complete application should be submitted online by February 9 (although applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled) and must include a letter detailing desire and qualifications to teach LPS, a curriculum vitae, as well as a list of at least three professional references.
