HEALTH CARE & FAIR COMPETITION BUREAU

HEALTH CARE DIVISION

Attorney General Maura Healey is looking for a highly motivated attorney to join her Health Care Division as an Assistant Attorney General to protect Massachusetts consumers and improve our health care system.

Primary Duties: (1) Investigating and litigating consumer protection cases involving health insurers, health care providers, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device manufacturers; and (2) assisting the Attorney General in examining health care market trends and cost drivers. The Assistant Attorney General will be responsible for all aspects of case development, discovery, and final resolution through settlement or litigation. Attorneys in the Division may also be called on to (i) address legal questions relating to state and federal health rules and regulations, (ii) assist consumers with health care questions or concerns, and (iii) work with Assistant Attorneys General from other states to examine multi-state conduct.

Position Requirements: Applicants should have at least three years of relevant experience in civil litigation or health care enforcement. Excellent writing and advocacy skills are required. Familiarity with the Massachusetts health care system is preferred. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a connection to the people and communities we serve. Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar.
