Join us at the 5th annual Youth Business Plan Competition, which represents the culmination of a year of hard work by our 9th-graders and their mentors. Teams present their innovative business ideas and prototypes during two rounds of competition. Volunteer to help out behind the scenes at BUILD’s biggest event of the year. 5 hour one time commitment scheduled for June 4th.

Founded in 1999, BUILD uses entrepreneurship and experiential learning to ignite the potential of youth in underserved communities and equip them for high school, college, and career success. By the end of freshman year, all BUILD students launch real businesses. This entrepreneurial experience equips students with 21st Century Skills aligned with college and career success. Over the past 15 years, 98% of students completing the program have graduated high school on time and have been accepted to college. BUILD serves 1,500 students annually in Boston, New York, Washington DC, East Palo Alto and Oakland, California.
