Wesley Alexander has extensive experience in providing labor and employment counsel to large scale private and public sector clients. Throughout his career, he has represented employers in employment litigation matters in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, primarily defending clients against claims of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation and breach of contract. In his role as Counsel for Liberty Mutual, Mr. Alexander counsels his internal clients on a myriad of employment practices, policies, and decisions such as hiring, discipline, terminations, reasonable accommodations, covenants not to compete, reductions in force, and compliance with federal and state employment laws. He also conducts internal and external trainings on equal employment opportunity compliance, restrictive covenants, diversity, sexual harassment, disability accommodation and the attorney-client privilege. Prior to working for Liberty Mutual, Mr. Alexander worked for several Am Law 100 law firms in Washington, D.C. and was an in-house employment lawyer for Circuit City Stores, Inc. Mr. Alexander earned his Bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was the Captain of the Men’s Varsity Track and Field Team and his Juris Doctorate from the College of William and Mary, where he was a member of the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal and the William & Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review. Currently, Wes lives in Braintree, MA with his wife, Nakia and son, August.
