Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD), New England’s LGBTQ and HIV public interest legal organization, seeks a full-time Senior Staff Attorney for its work in the six New England states. This attorney will have a dual role: to lead GLAD’s Youth Initiative, addressing the needs of LGBTQ youth in a variety of settings and through litigation, education, policy and legislative work; and to also handle matters in the full range of GLAD’s core litigation priorities, including racial justice efforts.

GLAD seeks an attorney with a minimum of 4-5 years of litigation, legal research and writing, and policy experience who also has been active in youth-specific or LGBTQ work. Other qualifications include: a familiarity with LGBTQ and HIV issues; strong analytical skills; open-mindedness; and public speaking. Independence, as well as the ability to work as part of an integrated team, is a must.

New England bar admission preferred. Salary depends on experience; excellent benefits.
