The MBLA’s  Community Service Committee hosted DEFAMATION, on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Northeastern University School of Law. DEFAMATION is a riveting courtroom drama that illuminates our common perceptions about race, religion and class and where the audience is the jury. Over 110 high school students and chaperones attended. The students asked engaging, sophisticated, and thought-provoking questions concerning representation within the legal profession, accountability, and stereotypes.

We would like to extend our thank you to our Reception Sponsor, Brown Rudnick LLP, and the Boston Bar Association, the Dorchester YMCA, and the Dover Shorborn METCO Program for their contributions to the program.  We would also like to thank the Kemet Chapter of the Black Law Student Association at Northeastern for volunteering.
