Join Fellow Lawyers in Helping to House the Homeless
The MBLA is pleased to join the Mass Bar Association in endorsing The Boston Legal Community House Project of Pine Street Inn, an initiative seeking to raise $1,000,000 to purchase a home for formerly homeless men and women. The project is being spearheaded by ten attorneys from the community including Pine Street trustees Patrick Jones of Jones Kelleher, Megan Gates of Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo, Susan Siebert of Jones Day and Chris Mansfield, former General Counsel at Liberty Mutual. They are joined by Leo Boyle and John Carroll of Meehan, Boyle, Black & Bogdanow, Camille Sarrouf of Sarrouf Law, Joan Lukey of Ropes & Gray, R. J. Cinquegrana of Choate, Hall & Stewart and Lawrence DiCara of Nixon Peabody.
The MBLA can attest to the work being done at Pine Street having recently participated in a service day there to mark Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Fifteen members spent the day chopping vegetables and helping in the kitchen. The group had a great experience and came away with a very positive impression of the organization and its work. As Andrea Campbell noted “We had a wonderful time and enjoyed giving back to the Pine Street Inn!”
We hope you will consider lending your support to the Boston Legal Community House Project. More than 200 lawyers and law firms have donated nearly $800,000 to date. The project has $200,000 to go to reach its goal and we invite you to consider making a gift today. Gifts of any amount are welcome and will make a difference!
