Dear MBLA Members,

It is that time of year again!  The term of the MBLA officers and Board of Directors expires in April of each year.  The MBLA is now accepting nominations for the 2014 - 2015 Officers and Directors.

Our Annual Meeting and Elections will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the Boston Bar Association, 16 Beacon Street, Boston, MA 02108 at 12:00 p.m.

The MBLA is accepting nominations for the following positions:

      1.            President-Elect

      2.            Executive Vice President

      3.            Secretary

      4.            Treasurer

      5.            At-Large Director

      6.            At-Large Director

      7.            At-Large Director

      8.            At-Large Director

      9.            At-Large Director

  10.            At-Large Director

  11.            At-Large Director

  12.            At-Large Director

  13.            At-Large Director

NOMINATION DEADLINE:  Thursday, April 10, 2014.

Nominations must be submitted to President-Elect, Doreen M. Rachal via e-mail at dmrachal@yahoo.com and should include the nominee's agreement to serve, if elected, and a current biography, which will be circulated to the MBLA membership prior to the Annual Meeting.

Qualified Nominees should be prepared to:

·         address the membership in person on election day;

·         attend a one-day Board retreat during the weekend of May 3, 2014; and

·         attend a monthly Board meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m., beginning on May 21, 2014 at the Boston Bar Association.

NOTE: Individuals submitting nominations, nominees and all voting members must be dues paying members for the 2014 - 2015 program year.  Law student members may neither nominate nor vote.

OPERATING COMMITTEES: If you would like to play an active role in the leadership of the MBLA outside of the Board of Directors, we encourage you to serve on a committee.  Please e-mail dmrachal@yahoo.com if interested and specify your area of interest (i.e. Community Service, Membership Development, Judicial Appointment, Programs and Professional Development, Student Support or Marketing and Technology).
