Jermaine L. Kidd is a native of Dorchester, MA. He is a graduate of Boston Latin School, Morehouse College, and Boston College Law School.
Jermaine is currently legal counsel for Samsonite, LLC where he manages all labor and employment legal matters and other litigation and compliance issues in the U.S., Canada, and other jurisdictions for the Samsonite Group’s family of brands.
Prior to joining Samsonite, Jermaine was an Assistant Attorney General for the Trial Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office where he represented and defended the Commonwealth, its agencies, and employees in employment cases and a wide variety of other civil lawsuits.
His other legal experience includes serving as Labor Counsel for the Massachusetts State Police for two years where he handled discipline issues, discrimination cases, and other labor and employment issues for the department and six years of law firm experience in which he represented and advised local and national employers in a variety of labor and employment law matters.
Jermaine is on the board of the National Bar Association’s Labor & Employment Section and serves as Deputy Director of Region I for the National Bar Association.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Cooperative for Human Services, a non-profit organization that provides residential and guardianship services for individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities throughout Massachusetts.
