Bar Advocates – Franklin County Bar Advocates

The Franklin County Bar Association Advocates seeks applicants who will be practicing law in Franklin County, and who meet our eligibility requirements.  We are a non-profit organization that contracts with the Committee for Public Counsel Services (C.P.C.S.) to assign private counsel to represent indigent defendants charged with criminal offenses in the district, juvenile and superior courts here in Franklin County.

 

Participating attorneys must be admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, maintain professional liability insurance and maintain an office in Franklin County. Applicants must also complete, or obtain a waiver for, the Zealous Advocate training course provided throughout the year by C.P.C.S.

 

In addition to skills in criminal Law, the Franklin County Bar Advocates, Inc. continually seeks applicants who possess proficiency in languages other than English, and who reflect our population’s evolving ethnicity.  Prospective applicants should send a letter of inquiry to: Administrator, Franklin County Bar Association Advocates, Inc., 20 federal Street, Greenfield, MA 01301.
