What you love most about your job:

I enjoy the counseling aspect of my job the most.  I advise institutional investors that make investments in private equity and venture capital funds.  The advice is both legal and market based as I discuss with my client the terms of such funds in connection with their investments.  In addition, I advise the principals of private equity and venture capital firms in their fund raising process for new funds and act as outside general counsel for clients that do not have in-house counsel.

Other professional/charitable activities:

Co-Chair of the Retention and Promotion Subcommittee of the BBA’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee; Member of the Board of Overseers of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay; and Member of the Board of Trustees of MCLE.

Why you joined the MBLA:

I have always been a big believer in working together with other like-minded black professionals to advance the prospects of the group as a whole and to create a network of support.
